Has anyone ever told you to…

So one of my favorite bloggers, Caitlin, over at Healthy Tipping Point, was talking today about pet peeves. It got me thinking about what mine might be. Not a whole lot can really sour me too quickly…so I really had to think about it. As I was heating up my lunch, (more on that later) I heard a customer come in the front door. As I walked up to great him, he says, “Oh hi Darlin’, smile why don’t-cha…life can’t be that bad.”

Yea, he actually told me to smile, because my life couldn’t possibly have anything “that bad” in it. There were so many things wrong with the sentence, I was left pretty speechless…

…with what felt like this look on my face.

That is for-sure one of my pet peeves, and for whatever reason…it seems to happen a lot. I don’t think it’s because I don’t smile…or even because I’m not smiling at the time, because I’m sure I gave the customer today a smile when I saw him. If anything…people are usually annoyed by my chipper-ness.

You know when you want to come up with something really, really good to say to someone right then at that moment? Yea…I’m really bad at that. Even if I can come up with something really good, I cannot keep a straight face. Oh well.

Moving on, as I was saying…I was heating up my lunch when this all went down. For lunch, I get yummy left-overs from last night’s super simple, and delicious, meal.

Baked chicken with roasted veggies and a simple salad with vinaigrette.

I love, love, love me some roasted potatoes.

The leftovers are never as pretty…but are always just as delicious!

I’m working tonight on a post about something very personal to me…and am a little nervous about putting it out there. Hope to have it up tomorrow sometime…plus a great “how to” on creating the perfect weekend breakfast!

Happy Friday Eve!
