Monday Quirks

Hi there!

The Sweetheart works late on Monday evenings, so I take the opportunity to indulge in some of the quirky things I love…but that the Sweetheart can definitely live without.

Like spending time with old friends…

…I am, indeed, a SATC junkie. I’ve seen every episode, multiple times. I get “Carrie’d” away quite often.

Obviously, the show can be over the top. That said, I think it has some of the wittiest, funniest, and most true to form writing of female inner-workings on television. Not that that’s saying much.

E! shows re-runs every night. Last night, I got sucked in.

Another by-myself quirk…weird dinner choices.

A simple meal of roasted potatoes and carrots accompanied my T.V. addiction. Yumm!

Along with some studying, and a kitchen deep-clean, that was pretty much my evening.

Do you have any by-yourself quirks?

Back to work! Enjoy your day!

  1. I’m obsessed with that show! I love Carrie and her friendships ❤ When I'm alone by myself, I usually read. I can't read with other people around me. Or I watch chick flicks. You know, the kind that you don't want anyone else to know that you like because they are so superficial but you watch them anyway because they make you feel gooey inside 🙂

  2. I’ve been known to pick up a chick flick on Monday evenings!

  3. that looks like a perfect night to me! i make a big batch of roasted root veggies and call it dinner all the time. and sex and the city… a classic.

  4. I like to go to bed with the TV on! Todd hates it, so I don’t get to do it often. That’s why I like it when he hunts!:)

  5. Every time my husband leaves for a deployment, I break out the Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy version of Pride and Prejudice and watch it from beginning to end, all in one day. I also make things with green peppers in it because I *love* green peppers and my husband hates them! No green peppers is the one concession I make for him in the kitchen. It’s only fair since he does all the dishes when he is home.
