The Facts of Life

Fact #1: I had the most amazing weekend with my family, old and new.

“Amazing” is actually the understatement of the year, decade, century!

Fact #2: Referring to Fact #1, I have no idea where to begin…but I promise I’ll figure it out and share with you soon! Right now, the only thing I can say is that I am filled with joy and gratitude beyond what I can explain. Thank you to everyone involved this weekend. The Sweetheart, Alexa, Mom and Dad CYL, both of the smallish Bears, Care Bear, baby Care Bear, and Aunt T…you have made me feel like the most loved gal on the planet. All I can say is, Thank you, even though there are no words for how grateful I am.

It’s cold here, but I am still braving it. OH and we have the same running shoes. Win.

  6. Weather? You are asking about the weather????

Just kidding – those pictures make my heart so very, very, very happy.

(Do you mind if I linky loo?)

  7. Amazing and wonderful, you all look so alike. I know just how it feels to be back together and long may it continue. Does your b.mum live far away from you, maybe in another state? I found the hardest bit was parting from my new found son and having to fly away home to another country. It still reduces me to tears every time I leave him, nearly three years on.
I have been thinking about you on and off all weekend and wondering how it was all going, so looking forward to your blog when you have had time to assimilate all these new thoughts, emotions and feelings.

  8. Hi,
I’m also an adoptee “in reunion” as they say. Found your blog through a series of links. Met my bmother when I was about your age…just turned 50, it’s been 20 years! Many many blessings on you! (Don’t know what you think of astrology, but there’s something called a Saturn return…Saturn being in the same place as when you were born…happens around age 28 or so and has to do with issues around your birth coming back in to your life).

  9. Jamie I want to congratulate you on the fulfillment of this part of your journey, the blog site, your incredible writings, and difference you are making for others. The future holds many wonderful new journeys – and I thank you for sharing them!

  10. Jamie,

  14. Hi Jamie. I found your blog through I have truly enjoyed reading your journey. I am a birth mother struggling with my journey and I found comfort in your posts. Thank you. I hope that I am blessed with a doorway and I have the opportunity to walk through it.

    • Thanks for reading Linda! I would love to hear more about your story, if you’d like to send me an email! The idea of the doorway shows that you have already been given one…the struggle itself is the doorway. The right circumstances, and timing will come for you to cross through…that I am sure of. If doesn’t always work out the way we think it should, but it does always work out. I wish you the very best!
