2012 Read-Worthy

Good morning friends. Thank you so much for your sweet comments and emails on Friday. We appreciate them so much.

This weekend was full of stories, laughter, tears and memories shared. I am truly honored to be a part of the Sweetheart’s family, and to be able to share in their lives, both in joy and in sorrow.

Thank you again for your kind thoughts over the weekend.

Early last week, I mentioned the list of books I read this year.

Today is the list I hope to read in 2012, or at least what I’ve got so far. I can’t wait to put aside textbooks for good awhile, and have more time to dive into some pleasurable reading that I’ve been yearning for! I plan on reviewing each of these as they’re read, however none of them are very original as far as “must reads”…I’ve pulled almost all of these from other blogger’s book-club lists.

2012 To-Read

Ape House by Gruen

Born to Run by Christopher McDougall

Bossy Pants by Tina Fey

Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins

Cutting for Stone by Abraham Verghese

Drowning Ruth by Christina Schwarz

Girl in Translation by Jean Kwok

In Defense of Food by Michael Pollan

In Defense of Women by Nancy Gertner

Letter to a Christian Nation by Sam Harris

Little Bee by Chris Cleave

Mocking Jay by Suzanne Collins

The End of Faith: Religion, Terror and the Future of Reason by Sam Harris

The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin

The Help by Kathryn Stockett

The Violets of March by Sarah Jio

Sarah’s Key by Tatiana de Rosnay

Have you read any of these? Which are your favorite? How about others that aren’t on the list?

The next two weeks or so are going to be really full out here in the Black Hills. If I seem abnormally absent, please forgive me and check back again soon!
